The MEGASTAR-IIC, a newly developed model designed for medium- to large-scale planetariums, along with projection systems for the Sun, Moon, and five planets and other supporting systems, has been installed at the Kumagaya Cultural Center Planetarium.
It is the first planetarium to be equipped with the MEGASTAR-IIC.
The system features a hybrid configuration combining the MEGASTAR-IIC optical star projector with the digital planetarium system “StellaDome Pro” by AstroArts Inc., allowing visitors to enjoy a breathtaking starry sky with 10 million stars, together with powerful and immersive digital imagery.
A diverse range of programs is presented, including regular planetarium shows, “A Walk through the Starry Sky,” featuring guided observations and music appreciation, and “Storytelling Astronomy,” a family-friendly program.
