The planetarium operates from 1986. In October, 2017 it renovated the equipment to a hybrid system with the MEGASTAR-IIA and the digital planetarium “DigitalSky Dark Matter” by Sky-Skan.
It is located in the Tierno Galvan park in Madrid city, and in addition to educational shows, it also has general shows on weekdays evenings, weekends and holidays.
